1. People

How many people is living in the house? One thing to take note, for the design and choice of furniture, is the type of group of people, if they are the young, fit or elder.

And do you have friends or relatives coming over to your home often? What could be the size of the group? This is to cater bigger gathering space for the guests whenever they are visiting your home for some food or fun.

2. Pets

What type of pets do you keep? Does the pet take up a small area of the house, like fishes or hamster, or move around freely in the house. You might want to consider choosing the right material for the furniture, such as scratch proof and water resistance.

3. Style

Do you have a style that you like? What is your favourite colour? Which type of material you prefer, such as concrete, marble or wood?

Some owners even have a theme for their home which makes them feel like they have return to a luxurious hotel with high-tech touches, a modern-minimalist home with a clean and chic feel or a home with an industrial look for its raw and ruggedness design.

4. Your Pastime

What do you like to do during your free time? This is to cater space for your needs and wants. It could be a storage space or display for books and limited edition collections, or an area for games, home theatre, mahjong and your exclusive “man cave”.

5. Feng Shui

Are you looking to consult a Feng Shui Master for your home? If you are not, you can skip this. But if you are, let us know (or your Interior Designer) before the design process has begun. This will help minimize cost from the additional work to change the design.

We will need to understand your lifestyle and needs for the living space and work out a plan to meet your requirements. What we need first will be your house floorplans and photos of the existing space before scheduling to have a detailed discussion and from there, our designer will do a layout proposal based on your requirements. Once you are satisfied with the layout. My designer will then provide you with a quotation.

Renovation typically takes 6-9 weeks (excluding any touch up and defects), however during this COVID period, our industry which is heavily dependant on foreign workers are facing shortage of manpower hence renovation will take longer.
